Pearlidge Center is home to two shopping centers connected by a special monorail, which shoppers use exclusively to travel back and forth between the two sections of stores.

The shopping complex truly offers something for everyone. Major stores located here include Macy's, Inspiration Furniture, Sears and Toys R Us.

Among the more than 170 stores, you'll find Charlotte Russe, Hawaiian Island Creations, Ann Taylor, Wet Seal, Papaya Clothing Company, Vans and Local Motion.

The first section of the center, called Pearlridge Uptown, opened in 1972. An expansion in 1976 created Pearlridge Downtown. A watercress farm is located between the two centers, giving visitors a scenic view from above as they take the monorail back and forth.

Because the shopping complex is so large, Pearlidge Center provides plenty of choices for food or entertainment, including two food courts, 12 full-service restaurants, a miniature golf course, two arcades and 16 theaters.
